I think you are using some information very outdated. Maybe you have little clue what has been happening in the past 20 years in China, not only economy but also military.

I just need to state following:
If Chinese army put in 10 billion USD for tanks, then China easily can get 2000 best tanks if each T-98 costs 5 million USD but it is much cheaper than 5 million.

And the problem is that China does have the money, Chinese central government has 500 billion USD FOREX in cash or something in stocks of USA, if including the 200 billion FOREX in HongKong, we really have enough money to prepare war. If Mainland China unifies with Taiwan peacefully, then we can use the 300 billions FOREX in Taiwan too :D
You know, that's why some countries hate to see China unifies peacefully :D
Chinese are very hard working people, Chinese will be very strong soon, because Chinese have abondanded the stupid Socialism systems. People in China are not living in ideology or dreams, they make the dream true via hard working making money.

BUT, China is not preparing for war against other nations, that's good.
 
Chinese-Russian military ties deepened

China and Russia will firmly adhere to their established strategic co-operative partnership which will benefit both countries and stability and peace in the world at large, say leaders from both countries.

This message was reflected during meetings between visiting Russian Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov and Chinese leaders.

Chairman of the Central Military Commission of Communist Party of China Jiang Zemin said Wednesday that commitments made by the two countries to develop their friendship from generation to generation is a serious one and aimed at safeguarding world peace.

Ivanov reaffirmed that developing relations with China is Russia's objective.

On bilateral relations, both sides vowed to work towards fully implementing the Sino-Russian Good-Neighbourly Treaty of Friendship and Co-operation for healthy and stable development in the new century.

Ivanov said both countries should enhance co-operation in all fields.

Russia's good-neighbourly policy towards China is a strategic and historical choice, and will be continued, he said.

During talks with his Chinese counterpart Cao Gangchuan, Ivanov expressed his satisfaction on bilateral military ties.

The two also exchanged views on hot regional and international topics, such as anti-terrorism, according to an official Russian source.

While Ivanov is in Beijing, Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing is visiting Russia.

China and Russia hold "identical or similar positions" on all key international issues, are developing their trade, and have a tight 2004 schedule for political contacts, said Li before his departure.

He arrived in Moscow Wednesday for a three-day visit and will attend a regular meeting of foreign ministers of members of Shanghai Co-operation Organization, an influential regional and multilateral co-operative organization.

Russia said that President Vladimir Putin will come to China this year for his third state visit and will hold "an in-depth exchange of opinions'' with Chinese leader Hu Jintao "on the further deepening of bilateral co-operation," according to Interfax.

Li also said China wants the international community to develop a "comprehensive strategy" for combating terrorism.

Those pictures are of the Chinese army, there is no Russian forces, I don't see the point of posting them! And they are not even something very special........ :?:

The picture of what seems to be a Type YW 534 Self propelled anti-aircraft vehicle what is that? Looks like the vehicle have two 25mm quad AA guns? The same guns that are used on the PZG-95 SPAA or Tunguska-M1 as it is called in Russia.

The only reason for china to invade russia would be to capture the energy supplies and mineral wealth of siberia, which russia would defend with there lives as these supplies are russias future!

It is the WZ-9 also known as Z-9G export designition. This is a utillity helicopter from the Harbin Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation.

Attackhelicopter when its features a gyrostabilised, roof mounted optical sight, and a pair of weapon pylons. Fixed weapons include 23mm cannons, Two weapons pylons to carry four HJ-9E wire guided anti-tank missiles, or two pods of 57mm or 90mm unguided rockets, or two 12,7mm gun pods. The helicopter are also able to carry two TY-90 IR guided air-to-air missiles or two C-701 TV-guided air to surface missiles.

Hello Skywalker,

But the issue is that China and Russia will not engage in war anymore. China and Russia are building up a very good cooperation relationship now.
 
I was just stating the only reason i could see for any war and i am glad that russia and china are now friends as a war between the two countries would be very bloody and effect the world! I am glad that there is cooperation between the two countries as it can only benefit them both.

Yes Skywalker, there are also many Chinese who hope we will have a good relationship btw China and Russia, past is past, we all look forward. I think the leaders of the two countries have already realized this, that is simply very good in my honest opinion.

Yes sir Doc.S, a lot of Chinese forumers have pointed out the same "bit" too, I think we really don't know how the real WZ-10 look like, like J-10, the crazy Chinese government just does not want to release any info before the equipment is actually deployed :evil:

Looks good! are there any plans for china to develop anymore transport helicopters as apart from WZ-9 i believe (maybe wrong) all the other helicopters are russian/russian copies?

Yeah I believe the Chinese chopters are all derived from Russian origin. Heli's don't enjoy a top priority in PLA maybe simply because they are too easy targets for AAM's.

China is developing WZ-10, but about Transport chopter, I don't have any info yet, maybe PLA will buy Russian stuff.

Also last time I heard China was starting to build heli's with EuroChopter?
But EU puts arms embargo on China :D
