Ongoing Violence & Riots in France

Chinese are in every corner of the world. They seek bussines and money opportunitites wherever it is.

Also I think they have an ethnic trait which attaches no stigma to integration to other cultures. In some other cultures this stigma is stronger than other cultures.

MSM blackout on the intifada in Denmark

It’s not just Paris. Successive nights of riots have rocked parts of Århus, the second largest city in Denmark. Little to nothing has appeared in the English language press about the second front in the Eurabian intifada. Århus is home to an excellent Danish university, and is a place where I have spent some time. It is usually spelled “Aarhus” in English.

Fortunately, Hendrik, The Viking Observer, has translated in his blog a press account from Jyllands-Posten, a Danish newspaper which has been the target of Muslim protests for publishing drawings of the prophet Muhammad.. A few excerpts:

Rosenhøj Mall has several nights in a row been the scene of the worst riots in Århus for years. “This area belongs to us”, the youths proclaim. Sunday evening saw a new arson attack. Their words sound like a clear declaration of war on the Danish society. Police must stay out. The area belongs to immigrants....

Four hours after the short meeting, Falck (Danish privat emergency service – Henrik) sent a group of fire engines under police escort to the nursery Kjærslund on Søndervangs Allé, right across the street from Rosenhøj Mall. Gasoline through the windowA window had been shattered at the back of the house, and the fire had been blazing, apparently because of gasoline poured onto the floor, then lit. Falck stopped on Viby Square, a couple kilometers from the site of the arson attack, waiting for the police to turn up so they could be escorted to the nursery. Two nights earlier, other Falck-employees were threatened, when they were covering up broken shop-windows. Cobblestones had smashed the shop-windows from one end of the mall to the other. The police wrote in their report saturday night, that the youths had their stones with them in bags, when they came to Rosenhøj....

He calls himself 100 percent Palestinian, born in a refugee camp in Lebanon 19 years ago, and now out of work in Denmark.“The police has to stay away. This is our area. We decide what goes down here”.

The MSM has done everything possible to minimize the Islamicist nature of the violence in Europe, and has blacked-out coverage of the Danish front. Here is another example of how the blogosphere has become essential to an understanding of the realities of the world.

So the inference in that blog is that this "Eurabian intifada" is an organized fanatical Muslim youth effort across Europe?

I don't think so, not really. He is just pointing out how the MSM have done their best not to call the things with their real name.

I see, that is an interesting piece. I had no idea that Denmark was experiencing rioting whatsoever. It is an eye opener I must say. I wonder just how widespread the riots will become.
I know that some European leaders are also concerned.
Italian Interior Minister Giuseppe Pisanu said the real danger in his country came not from the suburbs as in France "but from terrorism organized crime, internal subversion, clandestine immigration and illegality."
However, opposition leader Romano Prodi said earlier that an explosion in Italian suburbs was inevitable.
"We have the worst suburbs in Europe," he said. "We should not think that we are all that different from Paris. It is only a matter of time."

Opposition leader was such an irresponsible jerk saying those words. He just hopes the same will happen in Italy too.
Do you know what he called our troops in Iraq just a few weeks ago?
"Occupyiers" (Then who should we blame if we are targeted by terrorism?).

I see that politics are the same no matter where you live :) You don't think that the rioting is likely to spread to other countries?

The news here reported that the rioting is lessening somewhat. Either it's calming down or they're running out of things to destroy. I remember the rioting we experienced in the US. I remember because I was deployed in the street a number of times. I too hope it doesn't spread. We all know enough to take whatever comes out of a politicians's mouth with a grain of salt, or more than a grain with some of them

It sure is, particularly in the way people are reacting to the riots. I remember buildings being set on fire and the firefighters being shot at when they tried to enter the area. More than one firefighter voiced the opinion that maybe they should let the place burn down, of course they didn't. I remember thinking to myself how little sense it makes for the people to destroy their own neighborhoods. I hear the same sentiments echoed again these days.
It didn't stop until some of the neighborhood leaders took control and called for a stop to the violence. Only then could lines of communications be established with local officials. I suspect a similar chain of events to come of the current situation. I hope cooler heads will prevail on all sides.

This is what I was talking about earlier. This is the major problem with France, ever since WWI (not WWII) the government will roll over on anything. Whenever there trouble its always the cops/military that get the blame. And they wonder why people are leaving the police. They failed to arrest the group that beat the elderly guy to death but man they bounced on the few cops trying to bring law and order. I mean good god, at the very least deal with the riots first, THEN see if there was any police misconduct. And all because they are terrified that they are going to risk upsetting the minorites.

If anyone remember the Brookyln Heights riots, de Villepin is doing a David Dinkins on us here. I sincerely hope he doesnt replace Chirac.

Socialist form of governance?!

Phoenix

As someone stated previously Socialism is a economic system not a political one. Its has nothing to do with economics, just goverment cowardice and incompetetance. 20 years ago when I was living in we had a mayor named David Dinkins who reacted in exactly the same way. There was a incident where a Hasidic Jew accidently ran over a black teenager with his car. And the Afro-American community rioted because they though it was deliberate. (very similar to what happened here). David Dinkins sit back and did nothing for over 2 days, because he didnt want to crackdown on minorities.

Have u heard what monsieur Chirac said lately? i guess it was him.

Something about all those who are French are all right citizens of France wether their culture/religion/beliefs etc.. differ. And that all have something to give to France (like expected duties) and the same things imply to all of them (laws, rights etc..)

Don't you think that, thesedays, economy shapes how the governments function?

Indeed, it is socialism. Socialist parties all over Europe who care about nothing but their own pockets and popularity.

Your first remark could start an interesting conversation. But the second one shows a bordering-next-to-blindness attitude towards the political right and blaming the troubles of the world to the political left. Do you really think it is just the political left wing that care about polls & popularity?
