Yall know what I just thought of a really bad scenario, the U.S. HAS already been invaded.........Look who is in the White House :)

It would not be a good idea to attack the US on its own soil. The brits tried and failed. As of right now we have the most powerful military that has ever existed. We would drop Iraq and Afghanistan like a bad habbit and get on the ball. There isn't a nation who could make it past our Navy, they wouldn't even reach the shores.
 
This scenario would be so far in the future that it would be impossible to talk about in the present.
If anyone wants to weaken the US, they will not be arriving with guns.

Oh come on tell the truth, if they invade the United States its not our military they need to worry about.



Its us vets, disabled and otherwise who STILL have the right to keep and bear arms! We don't wear uniforms anymore so we tend to blend in with the regular civilians :)
 
To successfully invade the united states, you will need to be an

A. Super advanced sapient species that has lived at the depths of the ocean all this time and only now decided that the surface dwellers have really started to piss them off.

B. Some sort of alliance of every nation on earth. (If America's reputation drops so low that every nation on earth is willing to set aside their differences and attack us, then that would be a problem in of itself.)

C. An hostile fleet of Extraterrestrials. (In this case, I would wonder why don't they just wipe us out from space.)

Anglo-saxon Caucasians are still the largest ethnic group in America. Hispanics are simply the largest non-white minority (or is it minority group period?)
 
The only other invaders would be robots turned against us. Their shot at winning comes from the fact that they can churn out more armed men faster and their superior durability, and the fact that a Rogue A.I would not have any monetary concerns.
 
On the idea of a foreign nation (example I'll use is China) invading Mexico to set up base to invade mainland US. I think the US would notice Chinese forces moving through the pacific towards Mexico and understand the threat to national security if Mexico was invaded.
 
At which point on the kardashev scale would it take for a alien civilization to trounce the U.S and every other nation without much fear of defeat? Similarly, at which point on the scale would it take for a civilization to be able to fight the earth and win most of the time but still have a statiscally significant chance of losing (%5 or more)

In your opinions at least. (Of course it's quite possible that type III and is almost certain that type IV civilizations are so advanced that what they do would be indistinguishable from magic to anyone not possessing a similar level of technology)

You got to get this in your head. There is more than one way to skin a cat and the Chinese know that among the many feasable ways you can fight America, sending troops to invade full scale is probably one of the least favorable choices. The sheer scale of this country would turn any physical invasion into a logistical nightmare. There are other ways that they would prefer.
This is the type of fight America needs to prepare for. Setting up some militia to prepare for a Chinese invasion is a complete waste of time. This war is being fought in many arenas, one of which is the classroom.
