Which is the best state in the USA, and why?

Visit New England in the winter time....hehehehe

No but seriously nothing beats a New England fall...Go up north around Vermont for some serious foliage then drop down to Connecticut and do some gambling at the worlds largest casino ;)

Has anyone been to / come from Corpus Christi Texas - what is it like?

I have only visited the place once and quite liked it, if you are planning to spend time in Texas I would also recommend a very quick trip to Fredricksburg especially around October.

Kentucky for sure, bluegrass, thoroughbreds, banjo's, beautiful southern ladies, great landscapes from the Jackson Purchase of western kentucky to eastern coalfields of eastern kentucky. And lets not forget about UK basketball only the greatest college basketball program of all time.

How much bragging can you do about your basketball teams when football is the number 1, 2 and 3 sport in all your neighboring states and your team sucks something awful?

Yes that is true, but this year we may be making a bowl game my friend. And Kentucky has never been a football school since Bear left.

Hey.....Fredericksburg, Texas is where I graduated the school! Tell me what would you like to know! :)

Corpus Christi is a cool place to visit but windy....everyday. I suggest you to visit USS Lexington. It's awesome place to visit. The beach were good...lot of jellyfishes, I think.

I'm not biased when I say Texas is my number one, because I have been to alot of the other states.
Gotta love the High School Football. It's pretty sweet to play Friday night with the whole town behind you, screaming you on, and going to the State games is amazing. This is my last year of football and I adore it, and don't think our team could get the same love and following in any other state. The first round of playoffs is this Saturday, wish us luck!

I don't think I have seen a town anywhere that looked like it fell out of Germany as much as Fredericksburg, a friend was telling me they do some sort of WW2 re-enactment there each year although he said it was from the pacific theatre.

Yeah, mostly about WW2 re-enactment for the Pacific Theatre. They have the National Museum for the Pacifc Theater. Birthplace of Admiral Nimitz and also currently Commandent of the Marine Corps, General Hagee.

Yeah, Fredericksburg came to alive by the German settlers in 1846.

Fredricksburg is definetly a ballin little town. I love the Nimitz museum, and all the old school shops. Another reason Texas is a great state.

If you ever get a chance hit up some of the restaurants, get a mug of motor oil... I mean German beer. j/k.
