Absolutely, I just wish state and local governments didn't strip urban dwellers of their freedom to carry un-concealed weapons, but I can understand the need to have a permit for concealed.
Well, I can't say with 100% certainty which cities have laws against slinging a rifle over your shoulder and taking a walk around the block, but to me it's as if people are just afraid to do so even if there are no laws, and what ends up happening is that all the criminals are the ones with the guns and the people are up the creek without a paddle.
Around here people go to Wal Mart with their AR15 or whatever they have slung behind them and no one gives a rat's rear. Brings a smile to my face every time. Broad daylight, you can waltz down Main St loaded for bear and the police won't give it another thought, though they might just roll on over to say hi and check for any criminal activity, but nothing drastic, as long as you don't attempt to evade or conceal your weapons. I wish every place in America was like this.
