Just read about this regiment being formed , never really said what their job would be, anyone know? I did google but nothing enlightening vame back
 
Intelligence, surveilance and target recon (ISTAR). If it's being formed at the moment you won't find much information, tried the official British military websites?
 
:bravo: Thanks for providing the links, Italian Guy. I believe we will see lots more of the ISTAR concept in Europe the next few years.

This was mentioned sometime ago when the new cuts were brought up. At the time, the word Ranger was thrown around by the press. Its meant to be a unit based on the Paras that fits in between regular troops and the special forces. They are going round battalions briefing people and trying to recruit. As theres no way i'm gonna join i got out of it.
