Backing it up a little and making head shots with slugs

More big ‘effin FL bugs. I did not get a pic of the snake we saw!

Separating the quick and the dead. The timer doesn’t lie, a rusty Mossberg 500 pump and Maverick 88 pump with a chewed trigger guard bested all semi auto’s and had the best times on loading and firing two slugs from a gun loaded to capacity with buck. Just under and just over 7 seconds.

Here I go…

That's great 5.56, Thanks for sharing. Love those weapons.

Who's the dude with the sidearm and knife on same side? He don't pay attention in DT class or your Instructor's don't bother Instructing on it. Knife should always be carried on opposite side of sidearm, as long as your trained to retain it from the weak side that is however.

The challenger… (notice another Magpul sticker made it on Costa’s gun… that makes 3!)

5.56 did you take a Gabe Suarez course, I have e-mailed Gabe a few times we don't agree on everything but do agree on more than we disagree one thing that sets the Saiga apart from other shotguns is the fact I can reload almsot as fast as I can transition so given the choice I would rather have 10 more rounds of shotgun then 8 .45 or 15 9 mm. Saiga brings new tactics to the table that really need to be explored and Gabe Suarez is about the only one doing it but he has a does not like AGP 10 rd mags because they are too long. I do like them in spite of the length.

Here is me with my shotgun below

I noticed if you go to about nearly halfway down the page (that is if you have the newest posts ontop), and start scrolling at a decent pace, the pics turn into a vertical movie reel, looks cool  Cheers!

I hope for the M4 guy they arnt in an accuracy competetion:)

Right now the AR platform is beating the crap out of the M1 Garand and M14/M1A platform at the DCM Civilian Marksmanship Program Service Rifle Competitions at Camp Perry, Ohio. Those are long range 500 yard shots.

AR platform is a damn fine marksman's weapon.

I'm afraid I can't agree at all. For a start, 500 yards is not a long range shot,... it may be for 5.56mm, but for a 30-06 it's only just starting to come into it's own at 5-800 yards.

To me it seems the US must be losing those who can shoot with a real rifle, I can't comment about the M14 as I never had the chance to really shoot one, other than letting a few loose down a mate's driveway 30+ years ago.

500 yards is well within the effective range of the 5.56 (about half way there according to what we're taught) but I guess you don't need me to tell you it's impossible without a magnified scope.
