WHO WAS THIS?

I have no clue. I've looked at all my favorite obscure fact sites, and I can't find it. Good job on stumping everyone, Mr. KillKill!!! :)

I know the quote, I remember it because it was so dramatic. I am skipping all around it, but for the life of me I just cannot recall where I read it. That is why Andy McNab (nom-de-plume) was my first choice.

After Bravo 2-0, a bunch SAS books came out around the mid 90's, the guys who wrote them had usually served in the first Gulf war. This quote is from one of those books.
Its not Chris Ryan either.

The only guy that springs to mind is Mike Curtis but I can't specifically attribute that comment to him.

:bravo:Yes thats him, from his book CQB. I have two favorite quotes describing the SAS, this is one of them.
Your turn next.

I am going to have to open this up to someone else as I am drawing a blank on finding any quotes that would provide a challenge and I don't have much in the way of resources for another week or two.

I was still working but hadn't found it yet, but it is a terrific quote, for sure.

I'll follow with something a bit easier perhaps :-

'He couldn't blow his nose without moralising on the conditions in the handkerchief industry.'

Who couldn't ?

Einstein is the only guy that's coming to my mind, but I know that's completely wrong. LOL
