I would say the war of 1812

Personally I would say the whole lot were useless, all could have been avoided and mostly caused by the delusions of one individual.

Especially in retrospect, but is easy to use modern norms in old wars. The Wars of the Roses don't make much sense now nor all the different crusades. A king, Emperor, or a government don't ever admit they were wrong.
