There is no doubt that Israel has nuclear weapons even though they are signatories to the non-proliferation treaty. They would be fools if they did not. Best guess is that they have had them for some time and collaborated with South Africa in order to get a workable weapon. Israel probably has enough warheads to deal with the immediate neighborhood.
