Thoughts on the Russo-Ukranian War?

I think it is time Europe/Poland gave Russia an ultimatum, stop the drones or we take out the launch sites.
 
A question regarding personal drone defense, could a new round be made for something like an M203 grenade launcher that detonated shortly after launch and effectively provided a large shotgun blast.
Launchers like the M203 are light, cheap, easy to mount and use.

Europe seems to think a greater war is coming with Russia, I find it a difficult view to buy into in the short term as I struggle to see how Russia could rebuild a military that has been ground up pretty badly in Ukraine within a short space of time and Putin won't last forever he is already well beyond the average Russian life expectancy.

So, am I wrong in my thoughts?

I am not suggesting that Putin doesnt want to extend the war into Europe I am just suggesting that they have made such a mess of the invasion of Ukraine that they really can't expand the war.
Personally, I think we are closer to war with China.

Exactly! Why are they threatening NATO when they can't even handle The Ukraine? Arrogance I guess. And, yes, China seems to be a bigger threat. The change to a more Capitalist economy is providing the needed funding.

My guess is that Putin doesn't think article 5 will hold up so he can pick off countries at random, let's face does anyone think Hungary, Slovakia or even the US under their current leadership will support article 5?

Well today marks the day that the war in Ukraine has surpassed the great patriotic was of 1941-1945 in length.

So much for that 3 day special military operation.

When he grabbed The Crimea in '14 he said he could be in Keiv in 6 weeks, Seems to not have worked out as planned....

Strangely I think in 2014 he could have achieved that, the Ukrainian military of 2014 was just beginning its transformation and eight years later it was a very different beast and four years after that it has made Russia look pathetic.
