Here's another one for the list!
Local authorities across Britain wasted nearly £1 million performing "topple tests" on gravestones after taking an "overzealous" approach to health and safety standards, it has emerged.

Perhaps they are concerned for the safety of the local 'inhabitants' having to lie down beneath these massive stones
Of course the source of all this is people not taking responsibility for their own safety and relying on suing local government instead. Ultimately the cost has to be borne by the taxpayer.
