Oil makes just about everything run into todays industrialized countries,
Including their defense establishments.
All nonsense aside, what I am asking here, is how will the strain to obtain cheap oil effect our military establishments world wide?
Now listen, I am not going to babel on like a bad B rated Movie and predict a worldwide war for the remaing oil.
The truth may be a lot more subtle than that, but what I will ask is how will warefare today change in the future as militaries will have to either pay more to substain current military cababilities, or enter conflict to obtain oil?
How will governments react to the rising cost of military endevours over seas for any particular modern miltary? And will massive cutbacks or innovation be the fate of large military establishments everywhere as we dwell deeper and deeper into the 21st century.
