Oliver Stone Praises Castro, Rips Bush

As an ANTI-Castro Cuban American, let me tell you this stuff REALLY peeves me. How can someone from the outside KNOW or understand how hard it was for my family to leave an island they LOVED and all they knew to go to a new place. And that move was forced by Castro's take-over of Cuba. All that my family had, and had worked for for over a hundred years was taken in one fail swoop by Castro's new government. And we are supposed to LOVE Fidel? And support Fidel? And yes, we will continue to support candidates like Bush, who has a vision of America which does NOT include a socialist agenda!

I've often wondered how much easier Cuba's history would have been if they had voted in favor of becoming a state rather than voting for independence from the USA. That's just a thought ... who knows?

It would have been nice if the US could have gone in and removed Castro from power long ago ... but you may have noticed how popular we are over the removal of another inhuman monster (Sadam Hussein). Bear in mind that many people in Hollywood are so liberal that they'd say or do anything imaginable. Its not that they mean any harm, they're just ****ing idiots.

Go Mr. Stone!! Drive Cuban Americans away from voting Kerry and get them to vote Bush!! (I swear, what else is he trying to accomplish??) :firedevi: :firedevi: :firedevi:

Unfortunately you are right about the entertainment industry. Hard to believe that they can be so biased towards the nation that supports their industry. Without the liberties they have here, much of what Hollywood produces would not be possible. Oliver Stone couldn't produce the trash he does, say in Cuba.
 
If aliens invaded the planet and were slowly exterminating the human race, Oliver Stone and many other Hollywood celebs would be protesting in favor of alien rights. They're just hopeless.

ROFL....that is so true. And so is what Delta said. They are constantly putting down the country which gave them the opportunity to have everything they have.

The year is 2004 and there is no excuse for being a Communist. There is simply too much information, too much evidence that supports that it is an idelogy of evil hidden behind a pretty face.
If you were a farmer from 1944, then it makes sense. You have no education, are probably illiterate and only know that they're saying good things like humanity, brotherhood, global friendship, equality etc. And perhaps giving you food.
But in this day and age there is no excuse.
You have got to be denser than a brick of iron to believe in it.

I totally support 13th RN's and Courtenay's point of views. We got tons of pinkos here, too. I have a buddy who had lo leave Nam with his family on a raft. People like those pseudostars make me sick.

But lemme break it down for ya there Ollie, so even a pseudo socialist can grasp it.

I served with several 1st Generation Cuban/Americans. These were the sons of families who had been forced out of their country and had all their property confiscated for the betterment of the Cuban people (according to Fidel). Why do the majority support Republicans?
Well Ollie it's a little event called the Bay of Pigs. Seems there was this President named John F. Kennedy. He promised some Cuban expats air cover and support in their attempt to retake their homeland from a Communist dictator some guy named Fidel Castro. Well when the landing force assaulted the beaches they were slaughtered and or captured. Why you ask Ollie? Seems Mr. Kennedy decided at the last minute to pull support of the landing force. That kinda cut it with the Cubans on the Democratic Party.
So Cuba's safer than any Central or South American Country you've visited huh. Yeah I can see that of course they don't have to worry about the Communist Guerillas that Castro set up all over Latin America in the 60's, 70's and 80's. and that still operate today.
Say Ollie why don't ya do a movie about Che Guaverra you know Castros front man in setting up all these Guerilla Movements and forced alot of democratically inclined Latin American Countries to restrict freedoms.
I promise I'll go see it and even applaude well I'll applaude when the Bolivian Rangers bust a cap in ol' Che anyway.
As far as the stealing of votes well yer boy Gore couldn't even carry his home state so what does that tell ya?
But lets put this in perspective for ya. If this country were to fall under the rule of a "Great Man" like Fidel Castro that fancy house,those fancy cars and all your millions would be taken for the betterment of the "state" and if ya open yer c*ck holster about it then that "Great Man" would stand you against the wall and kill you. Just ask Fidel he can tell you how it works.

Those who bolster the ideas of socialism and communism....are normally those who are living the life that is provided by capitalism. Go Figure.

As for the Cuban-American break with the Dem party, yes, the Bay of Pigs and JFK could be part. But, larger still is the fact that most of the Cubans who came in the 30s (the Bautista era) or the late 50s early 60s are from families who were successful. These people know that work and drive can get you the kind of life you want, if there isn't a government standing in the way of it. Both generations lost alot in the name of government taking care of the people. The last thing they are interested in is supporting that type of goverment structure. The Dem party and philosophy is very opposed to capitalism, and very similar to socialism in ideal and structure. In short, you don't leave that to come all the way to America.....if that's how America is going to be. The idea of government taking more and more of our hard earned money...to pour into more and more social programs, for those who can't seem to figure out how to work for it themselves, is not what equal opportunity is supposed to be about.
 
Communism is by far the cause of the most mass murders in the 20th century.

The top two mass murderers were Communist, Hitler is only ranked third, number 4 is also Communist.

Yet Hollywood ingores stuff like this, and glamourizes these dictators.

Ed Asner once said that the person he admired the most was Joseph Stalin, he said that Stalin was "misunderstood". Whats so hard to misunderstand about a guy who murdered between 20 and 40 million of his own people. Gimme a break.

I think people are slowly starting to get smart and realize what a bunch of idiots alot these Hollywood types are.
