If North Korea tests missile

If North Korea tests a new Taepo Dong II missile could any U.S. or Japanese Aegis warships shoot it down?

My two cents I think we could shoot it down but wouldn't. We wouldn't tip out hand one way or the other.

as a current servicemember serving in japan, missle testing is authorized, but all military bases in japan and neighboring countries must be notified about the test and where it will be launched at and the direction of travel...its fun though, missle goes up....all the gizmo's and gadgets go off in...

That makes sense. Although given that it is going to take the N Koreans approx 4 weeks to get this missile in place (according to the news), it isn't much a first attack weapon. Also if the other nations wanted to halt the missile programme, I'm pretty sure that they all the necessary locations, marked and ready to hit.
