I am currently playing..

Yep as they make the weapon more accurate or increase power. ๐Ÿ‘
Are there any areas you would recommend?
Also do they apply to all weapons, can they be transferred to others or is it better to wait for "top of the range" gear before applying them?

Read a couple, one on making money which was pointless as I was already doing it and one on weapons and mods which helped a lot.
Although I am not convinced the SA-80 is the best primary available.

Well the game is realistic, the SA-80 sucked when they released it and it sucks in game, I am going back to my M249-SAW.

I do have a Mag-7 with decent stats but the SAW has the better damage just terrible accuracy.

Tell me about it, I carried the SA80 in Northern Ireland in 1989/90 before moving on to weapons intelligence where I carried the HK53, a far better weapon. ๐Ÿ‘

Hehe, we were given the L1A1, heavy as hell but we trusted it that was replaced by the Steyr AUG which literally fell apart while they demonstrated it.
We hated it.

We started off with the SLR, I carried that in the Territorial Army before joining the Royal Military Police, my usual sidearm in Germany was the Browning 9mm, we had that and the SMG when I first started in RMP, I've also been trained in GPMG, LSW and Carl Gustav 84mm. So quite a wide range of weapons. ๐Ÿ‘

I loved the SLR, I still own two of them, I think the sidearm issued was the Browning Hi-Power, we spent some time with retired M-60s and Browning M2s (which were amazingly accurate), the heaviest item was the M72 LAW, we had the Carl Gustav but hell would have frozen over before they let kids loose with them.
We were let loose with 81mm mortars and oddly enough as part of a logistics course we spent a few days with 161 Battery which strangely was what facilitated the parachute course.
Was great fun for a bunch of kids.

Most of the heavy stuff I carried was during my TA days before joining RMP. Military Police usually travelled light as in the main, my days were spent policing not on tours of sandy places. NI was the only place where we carried rifles.

Thinking about it we were equipped pretty much along the same lines as our Territorial Force, the only real difference is that they got to confuse us daily instead of 5 weeks a year for the TF. Most of the equipment was RF surplus right down to the uncomfortable DPM fashion statement uniforms.

Oh I definitely noticed a difference between my TA and RMP service,
I went from being dressed this on duty:

To being dressed like this!
