Dead men tell no tales, which could be a good thing, or a bad thing, if Intel is needed.

If they are bad people they need to be charged, tried, and put away, or better yet shot as Spies if they are in the USA, or left to other Nations to cut off thier heads if they are outside the USA.

Saying they are not POWs, and then drawing a comparison between World War II POWs and todays people held at Gitmo, well, the White House cannot have it both ways.

Since the CIA's interrogation techniques have been under fire and will most certainly been banned as illegal, I think getting intel out of these people is out of the question. So I think they're better off dead.

DB, Monty. Stop the name calling guys. You're better than that and this is just an internet forum. Nothing we say here is going to change anything. It's a good place to hear opposing arguments that would be awkward or potentially dangerous in real life, take it apart, analyze and counter argue.
Name calling isn't good for any of you guys and certainly the rest of us isn't going to learn a whole lot from it either.

See this is the tricky bit, the problem for me anyway is not what happens to the bad guys it is the bit before that, these people need to be processed in such a way as to give them a chance to clear themselves if possible and a classification if they are guilty.
Once they have been processed (ie a trial) and found guilty you can extract information in what manner you see fit I doubt too many people will care, I know I don't.

The issue for me is this policy of keeping them in limbo for years and this problem will only grow the longer they are kept like this especially when you have cases of innocent people being kept in this manner.
