Instead of reflecting our love for our country,​
we get photos of flag burning incidents at Abu Ghraib

and people throwing snowballs at the presidential motorcades.

Tragically, the lack of accentuating the positive in Iraq serves two purposes:

It is intended to undermine the world's perception of the United States

thus minimizing consequent support,

and it is intended to discourage American citizens.

Looking into other Iraqi news papers you can start to see that they are allowed much more freedom of the press then under Saddam, albeit some is communist press, none the less it is freedom.

There is good, yes, but there is also quite a lot of bad.

How many of the above in Southern Louisiana and Mississippi have been rebuilt? Very little.

Of course, you are right about the non-reporting media. But that's because they've all left Iraq. Only the NY Times remains in Baghdad out of US newspapers. The LA times just pulled out.
 
People are dying everyday because - at the risk of sounding callous - that is a fact of war.

As soon as the insurgents and other power hungry fools get their heads out of their 4th point and start realizing how well they can have it then people will stop dying, the US will help rebuild the country (as we have in so many past wars and conflicts) and the US will get out.

Then they can go back to killing and maiming each other.

A handful of people died in my own state last night like they do every night from gunshots to stabbings to auto accidents to natural causes...why because people die...

Also in Iraq because terrorist A-holes like to blow themselves up and everyone with them in the name of god, much why we are still there....

Quite a lot has been done in the wake of Katrina http://www.katrinareconstruction.org/index.asp and with the billions upon billions of dollars poured into those areas the only excuse is corruption that most people from that area know very well about within the state of LA...

Don't believe everything the TV tells you or what your friend that watched it last night does, look it up for yourself it isn't that hard to use the internet....

I did actually know the part about the schools, hospitals and basic infrastructure being built, last year my sister was being really slow about writing her speech and I needed to use the computer, so I wrote a speech for her in about 15 minutes about the positive things in Iraq that the media doesn't want you to know. Her teacher was so impressed she asked to use it as an example for future classes, I felt kind of bad though using my sister to push my own "political agenda" as some would call it or "the truth" as I prefer to think of it.
 
Apparently people still ignore the progress, but now with the defeatist attitude all seems to be lost...

Sweet we let them win because simple minded people are easily brainwashed....
