The Mission of the Chaplain Center
The Chaplain Center is comprised of four major operations: Combat Developments Directorate (CD), Proponency, the Chaplaincy Museum, and the Chaplaincy Library.
CD and Proponency are the Chief of Chaplains principal resources for determining doctrine, training, leader development, organization, material and Soldier requirements for Religious Support professionals.Additionally, CD provides the Total Army with Multi-Functional Religious Support Concepts, Doctrine, Force Design, and Materiel Solutions to Support the Warfighter in a Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental and Multinational (JIIM) environment.
The Chaplaincy Museum and Library are repositories for extensive archival and research resources. Each is connected to and integrated with world-wide DOD museum and library systems.
