Yes it is, but we are proud to help defend our Allies.

And it is appreciated. I think Australian government has done a great job in both Iraq, Afghanistan and SE Asia. They're great.

My new homeland, Canada, has also suffered greatly there: More than 70 soldiers lost in the war against the Islamo-terrorists

Theres a lot of countries that are quiet about there losses. I think the true number of the military dying may never really be known.

My friend gave me the number of Polish that had died, which is 21. And I was like What?

The media is to blame, instead of being bloody bleeding heart do gooders about the mullahs, they need to start informing people of the true facts.

All over the world of service personnel are dying and they just will not even cover it.

Sometimes I think the world has gone completely down the PC toilet, and can never return from that.

Then you have the stupid idiots saying the media is run by the Jews, if it was we would know what the scum are doing.

Damn it I need a coffee..................

Way I see it the United States has a quasi brown-out when it comes to Military Casualties now days.
And, as White House Press Secretary Snow so eloquently put it when asked about the White House reaction in 2006, when the US Military hit 2500 lost in Iraq.... "It's a Number".

I think that he would have thought much more of it if there was just the remotest chance that the next "number" could be him.

The further the pollies are from the shrapnel, the less the death toll worries them.

Roger that.
I dont follow the news much from down under, so, how do you think things would be if Australia had to start a limited Military Call Up for the Iraq and Afghan Op?

Not that you wern't there from the start, which remains a bit of a mystery seeing how the Afghan Op is NATO.

In Australia the prep has already been well on its way, and the government has set aside troop numbers for the ME. The lastest we are looking at a another 10 years before being pulled out. The reconstruction team is going to be increase to pad the numbers.

Don't you have an Election coming up?
10 years is a long time, a very long time.
The Government giveth, and the Government taketh away comes to mind.

If I were thinking about Securing the Area of the World the United States of America depends on Australia to look after, that same area of the World with the largest concentration of Muslims for any Nation (Indonesia) close by, well, I'd be thinking about a Redeployment.

Not that the SF Teams Australia has sent to the help the US and NATO have not been helpful, but, there are some 170,000,000 Muslims in Indonesia alone.

The election wont change it the deal was signed with Bush. Indonesia is a huge worry.

You say media... Well, duh... nothing good can come out of the western mainstream media. Thats why many bright people read blogs and new media outlets these days.

President Bush is also leaving Office, so all deals with him on the matter will be null and void come 2009, unless the next President here wants to pick it back up.

Indonesia is potentially a very big problem indeed, and Australia has a small population. Global problem. Thinking caps on, chaps.

Quite Honestly any dingbat nuff can create and run a site. It doesn't take too much brain power. As for blogs the same thing can occur.

You need to focus on what you know is right. 95% of crap in the net is for simple minded Uni students to take up and run with.

Oh you are talking about your leader  Well I admit I know little of your governments deals, ours are pretty basic cut and dry.

I simply can't trust most of the MSM out there. They're biased liars. Simple as that!
