Aloha,
At the end of WWII, veterans were given a "golden" eagle that was attached to the uniform. This indicated that the vet was honorably discharged and was looking for work. As far as I can determine, the ruptured duck was never resinded and every vet since WWII is authorized to wear the duck. Am I wrong? If not, why not re-issue the device so we Vets can recognize one another in our mufti.
