Master Gunner
One day in heaven, St. Peter was busy minding the Pearly Gates as usual but had alot of things he wanted to do elsewhere. He saw Jesus walking by.
"Hey Jesus! Can you watch the gates for me while I run some errands?"
Jesus said "Well I dunno I've never done that before"
St. Peter said "Hey listen, it's easy. All you hafta do is ask people as they arrive at the gate about their lives and based on their answers decide whether or not they belong in heaven. It's a cynch!"
Jesus says "Okay" and St. Peter hadn't been gone long before an old man showed up at the gate. "Well I guess I'm supposed to ask you about your life" Jesus said "Can you tell me what you did?"
"I was a carpenter" says the old man
Jesus being the son of a carpenter was interested to hear more. "Well can you tell me more about your life?"
The old man said "I had a son but I lost him"
Now Jesus is REALLY interested "Can you tell me more about your son?"
"Well he had holes in his hands and feet" says the old man
Now Jesus is EXTREMELY interested and he leans real close to the old man and whispers so God won't overhear him "father?"
And the old man leans real close and whispers...
"Pinochio?"
