Chavez was elected in 1998 and re-elected in 2000. he faces a half-term referendum in August 2004 -which is possible in only three countries in all over the world and this disposition came into force under chavez first gov'- and won it : the majority of the opposition recognized it. Moreover this opposition tried to remove him by a putsch (April 2002). What do you want anymore?
I remember that some TV-channels broadcasted virulent anti-Chavez propaganda, which would not have been possible if it was a marxist regime !
