The idea that conservatives save and don't spend much is a matter of debate. The last 2 conservative presidents were the largest spenders in the nations history. Can anybody even remember the last budget surplus under
a conservative president?

When parties claim they are on the side of small government its usually when they are the minority political party.

President Reagan was a huge Spender and left the Nation very deep in Debt.
