The news media is like any other sideshow. In the 1920s, Everyone wanted to go to the "freak shows" when they came to town and see Jo-Jo the dog faced boy. Now they love train wrecks. If there are two items about Iraq, one being that the Constitution was ratified with a jubilant crowd in the background, the other being an IED killed 10 more people in Baghdad, the burning car would get the graphics while the Constitution would be a subtitle.
