This article was shared at another board I frequent and I thought it would be a good one to send around.

It is very difficult to discuss any issue into which illegal aliens are not woven like a piece of fabric.
Do illegals commit crimes? You bet they do. Then, an attorney has to be appointed, we must house and feed them in jail, an interpeter has to be paid $80 an hour because they can't or won't speak English, court costs are involved and, in many cases, after they have served their time, they are let back on the streets of America to commit more crimes. Does this cost taxpayers money? You bet it does.
What about education? How many children of illegal aliens are we educating? How many ESL teachers have to be hired? How many books have to be printed in foreign languages? How many free lunches are given out? We will never know because we can't ask. Does this affect the learning ability of American children? Why do American kids have to provide a birth certificate and other documents? Does this cost money? Yes.
Look at social programs. How many illegals are receiving food stamps, county housing, WIC payments, in-state tuition, Pell Grants, Social Security checks? How easy is it to falsify documents to receive this assistance? What procedures do we have to verify who these people are?
How many illegals are receiving free health care because they won't or can't pay? Who do you think picks up the tab for this care? Hospitals are businesses. When more people are not paying than are paying, the hospital goes broke and everyone suffers. That's why thousands of hospitals have closed. We will never know the real impact because hospitals can't ask about immigration status.
How much money changes hands in our local underground economy? How much in tax revenues is lost in this process? Why have service and construction wages decreased in the past 10 years?
Why have Americans been let go so the employer could hire illegals cheaper and without any responsibility for their well being?
Pure and simple, it's called greed. Are some politicians receiving bribes and kickbacks in this process? You know they are.
How many illegals are driving without licenses or insurance?
How many Americans have been killed by drunk driving illegals?
Do you really think all of this comes without a cost?
Do illegal aliens leave thousands of tons of garbage just inside the U.S. border each year?
Do you really think that illegals have a stake in keeping trash out of their yards? Their grass edged and mowed? Cars parked in driveways instead of in the yards? Not really. After all, this is not their country, they are only here to take.
This is not about race, this is about illegals, it is about numbers, and more directly, it is about greed.
Keep in mind, these illegals have broken our laws. This nonsense has to stop.
This is not about having an ax to grind, it's about putting Americans first. After all, we the people - citizens and taxpayers - are the ones who are paying for this nonsense.
