Right, they don't have any, but as far as I know they started to recruit a few hundreds volunteers some yrs ago after 9/11. They realized that their country was being exposed to any threat from any terrorist group in the world.
I honestly don't know how much of that is done.

Nevertheless, Iceland is part of NATO- they offer their territory to the Alliance.

Although Reykjavik was chosen as some USA- USSR bilateral agreements 'halfway' location, but yeah Iceland is a member of Nato.
No regular army only coastguard and member of a military organization, even a founding member thats really nice.
News to me anyways.
