Per Ardua Ad Astra
While waiting in the car park for the wife who was visiting the doctor for her pills, potions and lotions, a woman came up to me and asked if I knew anything about cars as hers wouldn't start.
I lifted the bonnet of the car and began to look around for something obvious all the time referring to the car as “she” and “her.” I found the problem which was a wire had come adrift from the distributor. I refitted the wire and told her to try start the car, the car immediately burst into life. The woman then said, “Can I ask why men always refer to cars as female?”
Smiling, I said, “Well, cars are like women, they can both be very fickle at times.”
