Brits in Afghanistan

Just caught Sky News; British suffered 600 casualties in last 20 months in Afghanistan.

Listened to a very young soldier who has just lost his right leg from the knee down; He is working hard on it, desperate to be able to return to the front with his unit on their next tour of duty there.

So much for our forces being bailed out.:salute:

That is just insane... :(
Figures for those who have fallen are always published but too often the figures of those who are alive but with limbs missing and lives ruined are over looked.
I just hope their communities are kind to them and that they are given a good chance at employment as well.

That's commendable for that injured soldier to want to return to the fight. I think the Brits have shown great strength with their presence and skills. It's sad to hear of any losses irregardless of which coountry. God Bless.

Recently watched in the local TV a BBC documentary about 24 hours in Helmand with a company of British soldiers framed in Eagle's Summit operation, very intense and profound testimony. Is really to admire the job that guys are doing there.
