Well Brooke, you ask for it. I'm going to bore you with my life and accomplishments.

My name is Bill and I am 58 years old.

I grew up on a farm in southern Indiana and went to a high school that had about 500 students in all 12 grades. I spent my youth working on my grandfather's farm, going to school, participating in 4H, FFA, and Boy Scouts (Eagle Scout). I spent 6 years in the high school band. I graduated at age 17 with the most credits ever awarded in the history of the school (record still stands). I got married when I was 19 and had two children, a boy and a girl (actually my wife had the two children). I spent 22 years in the US Army, in and around tanks. My son is 39 and spent 7 years in the Army and my daughter is 35 and spent 8 years in the Navy. While I was in the Army, I spent 10 years in Germany and went to a few places while I was there. After I retired from the military, I was a truck driver for a couple of years and drove the lower 48 and Canada. During an unemployment period, I went back to school and got a BS and started graduate school to get an MS, but ran out of money (started when I was 51 and went 48 straight months while working full time). I now work as a training specialist for the Army training soldiers on computer simulation systems.

When I was growing up, my 3 brothers, sister, and I rode our pony (large for a pony) bareback all over the farm. He would try to roll over and get us off but we would jump off when he layed down and jump back on as he was standing back up.

Travel wise, I have been to 42 of our United States, Mexico, Canada, Germany, Spain, England, Ireland, Holland, Belgium, Austria, and France (just to the airport).

I like working on my house, my cars, and playing with my grandson. I am currently almost finished writing my first novel and hope to begin on the second one by the end of June.

I would like to leave you with this thought. Always continue to dream, make plans and push forward. Never give up on yourself or let go of your dreams. You can accomplish almost anything you want to, and if you don't, you will always have a good time trying.
