ww2 us medal/ribbon display order

Hope you can help.

Granpa was a combat medic and his medals and ribbons are finally all together and we have a case to display his medals along with his flag.

Is there a proper order that the medals, pins, ribbons and dog tag should be in?

There is a proper order that medals and ribbons are worn. Look at a web site for the specific branch of service for the order of precedence. The dog tag does not have a specific place in a display. I think there is a site called Medals of America or something similar which also shows the order that awards are worn.

There are places that will arrange them for you.
