Its censorship, its not anything to do with trade rights or protectionism... they dont want impressionable Chinese citizens listening to lyrics that may inspire feelings of empowerment of the people (quite funny for a communist regime when you think of Marx's original rantings), democracy or anything that might foment critical thought and reflection on the current state of affairs in the PRC.
 
it's no worse in my mind than the FBI shutting down torrent organisations in russia and sweden for music piracy.

Tell that to the participants in the 70,000 officially reported incidents in China last year wherein Chinese citizens rallied against government forces of various denomination over real injustices. To equate business with freedom is farcical mate.
