Uniform and emblems Guinea Bissau

I'm attempting to identify the branch/unit of the wearer of these uniforms worn by the Guinea Bissau military, but since online information on this is very scarce I'm not having any luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The military ranks and uniforms of Guinea-Bissau "should" correspond fairly closely to that of Portugal as it was a part of the Portuguese Empire until independence in 1973.

At a guess, the first picture is army but I can't make out the emblem (crossed swords, rifles or cannon?) with a rank of second corporal.

The second one looks to be paratroopers based on the green beret.

I could, of course, be totally wrong but that would be my best shot at this stage.
