I have several U.S. rank insignia I am trying to identify from WW1 and WW2. Does anyone know of a shop in the Los Angeles area that would be able to help me. Thank you for any information.

Why not taking them to a museum instead?
Take them to a museum to help me identify the maker and era? Or to donate? Because I'm not interested in donating them, I'm interested in selling them. Guess I could try asking a specialist at a museum for help but I doubt they have the time for that.
A museum can help you to identify the items you have. It is also easier to sell them if you know what you have and the value of the items
One option can be to contact Antique Roadshow (if it stills exist)
Get them appraised and get paper work of authenticity, there are oodles of licensed appraisers who happen to be historians out there.
Check your yellow pages.
You want to sell things for the most money? PAPERWORK!
Learned that working a stint in a pawn shop.
