South African army stopping reserves

You can't really call this little bit of info NEWS, but I haven't posted in this section yet, so what the hell. Anyway the SA government is going to stop the army reserves because they say it is from the old Apartheid regime used to control activist activity and they are not needed anymore. ????? :?: :?: :?:

Try to explain that. :?
 
Maybe. If i remember correctly they also said that the army sometimes used to help the police out but that's not going to happen anymore.
