Russia’s arms exports will exceed $8 billion this year despite the global financial crisis, an increase of $1 billion from 2007, Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov said Tuesday, according to Russian news media. Russia’s military orders from foreign states will reach $33 billion by the end of this year, Mr. Ivanov said. “I want to put a special stress on the fact that even in conditions of the global financial crisis, this market has so far seen no decline,” he said. “Despite the complicated economic situation in the world, none of our partners have expressed willingness to revise or cancel any contracts.”
