Robot Space Plane to Launch Thursday

I was quite impressed to see that although this was publicly announced only 1 of the news networks (BBC) that I checked actually had any info about this.

So what are the ramifications, according to the pentagon this was just frame to carry a variety of testing instruments - I don't buy it. We now have a sub orbital remotely controlled vehicle, which can land itself at the end of a mission, goodbye U2, hello....?
