Petition backs Manning for Nobel Peace Prize

OSLO, Norway (AP) — Nobel Prize committee officials say they have received a petition claiming some 100,000 signatures that endorses awarding the peace prize to U.S. soldier Bradley Manning, who faces up to 90 years in prison for disclosing classified information through WikiLeaks.

I think this pretty much sums up how much of the world perceives Manning's actions.

I know 100,000 votes is a very small cross section, but just the fact that so many people went out of their way to make their feelings known says something. Obviously it can't be a common thing or it would not have made the media.
