NEW Zealand Olympian Logan Campbell has turned to prostitution in a bid to fund his London Olympics campaign.
Campbell, who finished in the top 16 in the taekwondo featherweight division at Beijing, has set up a "high-class gentleman's club".
The build-up to Beijing had cost about $121,000, most of which came from his parents. Campbell said he was sick of relying on them for help so he set up the brothel with a friend in Auckland, the Sunday Star Times reported.
His parents were supportive but Taekwondo New Zealand said it would take the venture into account when considering him for selection.
Campbell said he hoped to earn $240,000 by 2011, when he would launch his London campaign.

I don't think athletes should be saints, but given that they are often hero-worshiped by, and inspire young people, I don't think pimping is an attribute we would want to uphold and condone.
