MY VERY FAVOURITE POEM

Ok, guys - this is my very favourite poem at the moment.

Recognise it?

You Can See It In A Clear Blue Sky
You Can See It In A Woman's Eyes
You Can Hear It In Your Babies Cries
You Can Hear It In Your Lover's Sighs
You Can Touch It In A Grain Of Sand
Yeah Hold It Right There
In The Palm Of Your Hand
Feel It Round You Everyday
And Hear What I've Got To Say

God Gave Me Everything I Want
Come On
I'll Give It All To You
God Gave Me Everything I Want
Come On
I'll Give It All To You

I Saw It In The Midnight Sun
And I Felt It In The Race I Won
And I Hear It In The Windy Storm
And I Feel It In The Icy Dawn
And I Smell It The Wine I Taste
And I See It In My Father's Face
And I Hear It In A Symphony
And I Feel It In The Love You Show For Me

Yeah
God Gave Me Everything I Want
Oh Come On
I'll Give It All To You
God Gave Me Everything I Want

Come On
I'll Give It All To You
God Gave Me Everything I Want
I Can't Stop Can't Stop
I'm Still Looking Now
God Gave Me Everthing I Want
Oh Come On
I'll Give It All To You

Crazy You Said
It's All In Your Head

umm Lyrics to a Mick Jagger song from the Bruce Almighty soundtrack?

Absolutely correct Monty. Mick Jagger/Lennie Kravitz song, which also happens to be my favourite number at the moment. I do love a good lyric. But then again, I do love AC/DC and hard rock anyway, so I'm a sucker for this one. There is a great video of it on you tube.

Hard to beat you on a question Monty - but I'll have you yet.

Good poem but what exactly is he feeling and hearing and seeing? Is it happiness is it love is it life is it all of the above?

I like this but what exactly is he feeling and seeing and hearing? is it love is it happiness is it life is it all of the above? or is this a kinda deal where u have to infer and there's no real answer because its different for different people?

Yeah, it's true that these rock songs are often an enigma. I guess we'll have to be content with just playing the album, watching the video ( which is a happy one) and hoping that Mick Jagger and Lennie Kravits come up with an answer. Unlikely.

Funny thing, I find the lyrics strike a big chord with me and they reflect my feelings on where I stand. And in my case it is about those three emotions you mention, and my appreciation.

That's probably because of my age, so play it again when you are as old as Mick Jagger and I hope you feel good about it too!
