Personally I would say the M3 or Sten but you are right they all did pretty much the same job.

well,MP40,M3,M1 Thompson,PPsh or Sten all done their best.Now if I try to put them here in tiers like ::

** tier 1 : M3

** tier 2 : Sten, MP40

** tier 3 : M1 Thompson ,PPsh

Really weird. I have no idea what your point is.

They are all virtually the same and do the same job. All you are asking is that people give their personal opinions, and seeing that many have never fired most of these weapons it just reverts to what you like and is totally meaningless.
