More missiles!

The north apparently fired more missiles yesterday, 2 being ground to ship.

Why do they keep doing this?
How is this projecting power...I mean, everyone knows their capabilities.
Isn't this just a waste of their missiles?

Also, do you think they'll launch their Taepodong-2 at hawaii on saturday?
If they do, how far do you think it'll travel? Could it reach Hawaii?
If it does reach the area will the U.S. shoot it down?
Will we consider it an act of war?

I think conventional missile tests are legal on international waters, provided that the country issues safety precaution/warnings on the appropriate international platforms.

Will we consider it an act of war? By North Korea yes, if the US shoots it down.
By the US yes, if it hits Hawaii.

North Korea would have a better chance of hitting the US if it aimed at Alaska. Less distance and a bigger target.
