They are the Special Forces branch of the RAN. They are specialists in under water demolitions, diving of all types, and special forces operation by both land and sea.

Great pictures and descriptions under them.
Thanks, it annoys me when people post up pictures with a description like "tank"

I think a bit of the info on the picture, or at least the group involved makes it all the more interesting.
Cool pic's AussieNick, and Yeah Australia is still in Iraq.

Apart of the rebuliding team I think, well thats what a friend of mine said, they talked over the chow table there.

Does Australia have any presence in Iraq right now?

YES, and we'll be there until the job is done.

That reminds me........

hello Canada
We sure do have a presence there.
•We've got SECDET in Baghdad
•AMTG in Al Muthanah provence (although they've just handed over to Iraqi forces and moved down South with the Brits)
•AATTI (Australian Army Training Team Iraq) who is training Iraqi soldiers in the North and South of the country
•we've got the Royal Australian Navy patrolling the Gulf
•RAAF there with F/A-18 Hornets and Orions
•RAN Clearance divers are working in Basrah
•4th Battalion Commandos are still hard at work in the Western desert
•And until recently the SAS were operating along the Syrian and Jordanian border region

Well said Padre.
