Seems "hypersonic" is the new trend for warships...

The USS Zumwalt, America's most advanced destroyer, has arrived at the shipyard for installation of the Conventional Prompt Strike non-nuclear hypersonic weapon

USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000) is the US Air Force's first Zumwalt-class destroyer. Late last week, it arrived at Ingalls Shipbuilding for installation of hypersonic missiles.

I don't know but every time I see that ship I get the impression that it flipped upside down when they launched it so they just put the super structure on top.

Wasn't it Einstein that said I do not know with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones, perhaps we are heading that way naturally. Then again maybe the American Civil War was ahead of its time after all the first use of gun turrets on ships were in the ACW.
