Thanks for the kind words. I was studying on the web, to make a page with the ships he served on. I was amazed by what I learned. He served on an icebreaker -- I found a photograph in Navy archives of this ship (and two others) pushing a huge iceburg. And he served on a Destroyer, and at the time from what I understand from an old newspaper clipping saved -- it was yellowed from age -- the USS Jason was the only ship of its kind. It sailed as a repair ship for other ships. It seems he served on a lot of different types of ships, meant for different purposes. That was very interesting stuff to me. The more I search into my Dad's past, the more amazing I realize he was. ;)
 
Good and honourable Men go into harm's way to make sure we can sleep at ease at night, sometime's they pay the ultimate sacrifice for us, never forget
