I agree with that, I bought my Granddaughter the exact same pair for Christmas.
Military binoculars are usually more sturdy and are also usually stamped with a I.D. mark. UK binoculars are stamped with an arrow, while I would assume US issue would have American markings such as U.S. Army
Don't know without any other markings but they look like Tasco bino's
I bought a set back in the early 90's, not a bad piece of kit and I still have them in the glovebox today
