Its a Jewish holiday Redleg. I believe its the commemoration of the Jewish exodus from Egypt. I'm sure Sherman can tell you more.

Passover was when God killed the Egyptian first borns, which i believe was the last of the plagues. The Hebrews marked their doors with the blood of a lamb and the Angel of Death passed their homes over. I'm sure Sherman can correct anything I got wrong.
