Do you know any patriotic songs, either to America or other nations? Why not share them here!

Has anyone ever heard of the country band cornbread? They are lead by lead singer Keni Thomas, who was apart of Task Force Ranger and fought in the Bttle of Mogadishu depicted in Black Hawk Down as a ranger. They have some great patriotic songs, including a tribute to TFR and to 9-11.
Check em out at Cornbreadmusic.com, or find music video's at guesthouselive.com!

Right now though Id say my favorite patriotic song has gotta be the new Lynayrd Skynayrd single, "Red, White and Blue" :D

These have all been out for several months (some for several years), but here are some good ones:

Toby Keith - Courtesy of the Red White and Blue (The Angry American)
Darryl Worley - Have you Forgotten?
Montgomery Gentry - Didn't I Bleed?
Montgomery Gentry - Paybacks are Hell
Aaron Tippin - Where the Stars and Stripes and Eagles Fly
Charlie Daniels Band - This Ain't No Rag It's a Flag
Charlie Daniels Band - In America
Eddie Rabbit - American Boy
Phil Vassar - American Child
Randy Travis - America Will Always Stand
Hank Snow - There's a Star-Spangled Banner Waving Somewhere

and of course Lee Greenwood's "Proud to be an American"

Problem is there all country, which isnt bad, but I wish all those liberal rock bands would get over themselves for two and a half seconds so we could get some decent patriotic rock.

Boy that topic went downhill fast. Here's another one, not really straight-up patriotic, but still a fun song:

Oakridge Boys - My Baby is American Made

I have a swedish singer called Roger Pontare who sings a song called "When the winds whispers my name" or was it "When the wind spirits whisper my name"?

Anyways, that makes me going..

Never heard of them, what kind of music is it?

Charlie Daniels Band - Last Fallen Hero
Kevin Denney - Daddy Was a Navy Man

BOrn in the USA
Made in the USA : THe WRight Brothers
Theres a Hero: Billy Gillman

i have more around here somewhere, i'll get back 2 u

Song Title: Letters from home lyrics

My Dear Son, it is almost June,
I hope this letter catches up to you,
and finds you well.
Its been dry but they're calling for rain,
And everything's the same
ol' same in Johnsonville.
Your stubborn 'ol Daddy ain't said too much,
But I'm sure you know he sends his love,
And she goes on,
In a letter from home.

I hold it up and show my buddies,
Like we ain't scared
and our boots ain't muddy,
and they all laugh,
Like there's something funny
'bout the way I talk,
When I say: "Mama sends her best y'all."
I fold it up an' put it in my shirt,
Pick up my gun an' get back to work.
An' it keeps me driving me on,
Waiting on letters from home.

My Dearest Love, its almost dawn.
I've been lying here all night long
wondering where you might be.
I saw your Mama and I showed her the ring.
Man on the television said something
so I couldn't sleep.
But I'll be all right, I'm just missing you.
An' this is me kissing you:
XX's and OO's,
In a letter from home.

I hold it up and show my buddies,
Like we ain't scared
and our boots ain't muddy,
and they all laugh,
'Cause she calls me "Honey",
but they take it hard,
'Cause I don't read the good parts.
I fold it up an' put it in my shirt,
Pick up my gun an' get back to work.
An' it keeps me driving me on,
Waiting on letters from home.

Dear Son, I know I ain't written,
But sittin' here tonight,
alone in the kitchen, it occurs to me,
I might not have said,
so I'll say it now:
Son, you make me proud.

I hold it up and show my buddies,
Like we ain't scared and our boots ain't muddy,
but no one laughs,
'Cause there ain't nothing funny
when a soldier cries.

An' I just wipe me eyes.
I fold it up an' put it in my shirt,
Pick up my gun an' get back to work.
An' it keeps me driving me on,
Waiting on letters from home.

I cried during this song. :(

For us metal heads, the newest Iced Earth album is absoutely incredible. It's all about wars through history, mostly focusing on the Civil War.

There's a lot of pre and post 9/11 songs too, focusing on what we're going to do to the terrorists  :rambo:

It's crazy...they're pretty popular underground metal, but their bass player lives 10 miles from where I sit typing this.
