Finnish Military Officer Convicted of Child Pornography

A special officer at the Finnish Defence Forces Materiel Command (DFMC) was convicted Friday of the use of child pornography on an army computer in Helsinki. The court of law sentenced the man to punitive fines of 1,120 euros for possession of child pornography, military offense and unauthorised use of an army computer.

The man committed the crimes between September 2003 and February 2004 in the town of Tampere. He has hence retired.

The Police found more than 160 images of child pornography on disks in the possession of the former officer. According to the court of appeals, the officer scanned the Internet for smut with an Internet connection and computer paid for by the Finnish Defence Forces.

Yep, in the US he'd be in prison. If military, he'd be making big ones into little ones at Leavenworth. The "punishment" the Finns gave this guy do give you some idea of the attitude about sex crimes there.

I am not Against Pronography .................Until you Own the Computer and do it in your own Privacy..............and countries Law dosen't prohibit it .

But Child Pronograpy should be taken Seriously and condemed it's a shame..........no matter where or how it is :? :x

It's more than a shame. It's a crime - pure and simple and a grotesque one at that.
