I am very suprised to find many US police depts dont have the funding to provide bullet/stab proof vests for their K9 police units.
The US usually is far ahead of UK in equiping the police.I am sure this is down to politics.
Please donate anything you can to help supply your local Dept K9 units.

Most have a fund to help provide them,if not why not start your own?
There is no reason why police dogs should not be provided the same protection against bullet/stab slash attacks as any human officer. If it is a case of money then you guys in the US put your hands in your pockets-one less beer/dvd/lapdance/steak/candy bar/joint /box of bullets or whatever your personal vice is wont hurt.
If you start your own fund then PM me and I will see what fund raising can be done this side of the pond for you.
